The UK, US and Canada each handle accommodation evidence a little differently. In all three, a genuine hotel booking confirmation for your dates strengthens your application and answers the "where will you stay?" question cleanly.
United Kingdom (Standard Visitor visa)
UKVI asks you to show where you will stay. Upload a hotel booking confirmation covering your visit alongside your travel itinerary. It should name you and cover your dates.
United States (B1/B2)
The DS-160 does not force a hotel upload, but consular officers routinely ask about your accommodation at the interview. A confirmed hotel booking for your dates demonstrates a credible, temporary trip.
Canada (visitor visa / TRV)
IRCC assesses your travel plans. A hotel booking confirmation supports the itinerary you declare and shows where you will stay.
One document, all three
A QR-verifiable hotel confirmation matched to your dates works for all three. It is a real reservation — not a prepaid stay — and officers can scan the QR to confirm authenticity. UK · US · Canada.
